The Dorado fish can commonly be found in the Forest River. This is located in the Cindersap Forest and can be accessed by moving towards the south end of your farm. The Dorado can be caught in the lower sections of the Forest River found in this area.

What is a Dorado?

The Dorado is a relatively rare fish that can be caught during the Summer seasons. As mentioned, it spawns in the River Forest section of Cindersap Forest and is commonly found in its lower parts.

The Dorado has a bright orange appearance and ranges in size from 24 to 33 inches. It can be used to make Maki Roll, Sashimi, and Quality Fertilizers, whereas consuming it restores 25 Energy and 11 Health.

It has a base sale price of 100g and spawns from 6 am to 7 pm during all types of weather. It provides you with 29 fishing exp if caught successfully.

Fishing For Dorado

The Dorado has a difficulty rating of 78 which means it isn’t the hardest fish to catch. However, the real challenge is to find one in the first place. The Dorado can be pretty difficult to come across, and arguably, hooking one into your rod is more complicated than actually catching it.

To have a good chance of catching a Dorado, I recommend that you only try fishing on days where you have a boosted Luck stat. This can be checked by watching the Fortune Teller channel on your Television. If the Fortune Teller states that you’ll have good luck for the day – that’s your first sign of going after the Dorado.

Additionally, try eating some food items such as the Spicy Eel that further boost your Luck stat. With all these factors combined, you’ll have a much better chance of finding the Dorado.

Once you’ve done all this, go to the River Forest area and try to fish in the previously mentioned location. Be sure to use bait and any tackles you prefer to help you with the fishing mini-game.

Repeatedly fish during the spawn times of the Dorado to eventually get a hold of it. Remember, Dorados are a pretty rare catch, so it can take a full day for you to catch 2-3 of them!
