2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When you visit our website, the server automatically logs technical access data (IP address, pages visited, date/time, browser type, operating system, referrer URL). This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in ensuring reliable website operation). Server log files are automatically deleted after 14 days. A data processing agreement (DPA) with Hetzner is in place.

3. Analytics — Matomo (Cookieless)

This website uses Matomo, a self-hosted open-source web analytics tool. Matomo operates without cookies. No cookies are stored on your device and no information is accessed from your device.

Data collected: pages visited, time of access, referrer URL, browser and operating system, and an anonymized IP address (last 2 bytes removed).

All data is processed on our own server in Germany. No data is shared with third parties.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in statistical analysis). Since no device access occurs, consent under § 25 TDDDG is not required.

4. Embedded YouTube Videos (Click-to-Load)

Some articles contain embedded YouTube videos. By default, no data is transmitted to YouTube or Google when you open such a page. You will see a placeholder with a play button.

Only when you click the play button, a connection to YouTube is established via the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com. This may transmit your IP address and browser information to Google Ireland Ltd./Google LLC.

Legal basis for loading the video: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent, expressed by clicking play). You can prevent data transfer by not clicking play. More info: Google Privacy Policy.

5. AI-Generated Images

Images on this site are generated locally using open-source image models (Flux.1 Schnell via ComfyUI) on our own hardware. No image prompts, article content or user data are transmitted to any third-party AI service.

5b. Consent Banner (ConsultD)

We display a small consent banner loaded from admanager.consultd.de (our own first-party domain, German-hosted). The banner script collects no personal data and sets no tracking cookies. Its purpose is consent transparency and — if we ever add optional features that require consent — the infrastructure for that opt-in. As long as no such features are active, the banner has no tracking consequences.

6. SSL/TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption. Look for the lock icon in your browser’s address bar and the “https://” prefix.

7. Cookies

This website does not set any tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. Only a technical session cookie may be set if you log into the (currently closed) admin area.
