Cheat Codes In GTA V For PC

GTA V is one of those open-world sandbox games, which drops you in a vast, living and breathing world to do pretty much anything you can imagine. The only teeny, tiny problem? You need resources – lots of them, such as weapons, money, and exotic vehicles – to enjoy the game to its fullest.

One method of earning these resources is by competing missions, earning money, and buying them. But that is BORING! I don’t want to do the same diamond heist over and over again, just so I can buy that car I fancy. Fortunately, Rockstar, the makers of GTA V, understand me and other players who want to enjoy every aspect of the game without actually putting in the effort to get that panzer. Thus, they have created tons of cheat codes, which convert the city of Los Santos into a truly limitless sandbox you can wreak havoc in – or just ride around in a super expensive ride.

Here, we have a comprehensive guide of all the cheats you can use in GTA V, PC edition, with a special emphasis on the money cheats.

But first things first: “How to enter cheat codes in GTA V on PC?”

Good question. In the previous Grand Theft Auto games, all you needed was to smash the cheat code combination on your keyboard. The exception was GTA IV, where you had to dial a certain number on the in-game phone to activate the cheat codes.

Using cheat codes in GTA 5 on PC is a wee bit different. There are two methods for entering cheat codes in GTA 5 on PC. There is also a third way, which can be only used when you’re playing the game with a gamepad. We’ll talk more about this later.

1. Using In-Game Console

The most direct method of entering cheat codes in GTA V is by using the in-game console, which can be accessed by pressing the “~” button. Once the console shows up, type in the cheat code and press “Enter” key. If you’ve entered the cheat code properly without any typos, you should see a message on the bottom left of your screen, which says “CHEAT CODE ENABLED.”

2. Using In-Game Mobile Phone

Just like GTA IV, you can enter cheat codes using the in-game mobile phone. Press the arrow “up” button to access the phone. After this, head over to “Contacts” and press the spacebar – or scroll down to access the keypad. Then, enter the cheat code number using the arrow keys and hit “Enter” once you’re finished. Next, click the spacebar or scroll up again. If you entered the cheat code properly without any mistakes, you should see a message that says “CHEAT CODE ENABLED.” If you want to reenter the same cheat code again in GTA V, just dial the “*” button (redial button) on the in-game mobile phone and it will be activated.

3. Using the Gamepad

This method works only if you’re playing the game with a gamepad. All that’s needed is to hit a few buttons in a certain order quickly – and voila! It’s worth noting that cheat codes on a gamepad work with only the Xbox Gamepad. So, if you’re using any other controller, you’ll need to map it to the Xbox controller before you can enter the cheats.

Now that you know how to enter the cheat codes, let’s take a look at all the options you can play around with to mess up (and enjoy) Los Santos.

1. Player Cheats

Raise Wanted Level

Want to take on a swarm of cops, a swat team, or perhaps even the Army – but don’t want to waste your ammo or go through the hassle of actually raising your wanted level? Then the Raise Wanted Level cheat in GTA V is perfect for you. Just note that this cheat code will raise your wanted level just by one star, so if you’re seeking five stars, you’ll need to enter it five times. This may be a hassle when you’re already dodging bullets at three stars.

Lower Wanted Level

Have a few too many wanted stars? The Lower Wanted Level cheat for GTA V will get rid of that for you. The only problem, however – just like with Raise Wanted Level – is that it’ll decrease your wanted stars one at a time. As such, it’s better to find a safe spot where the cops won’t find you to enter this cheat code.

Max Health And Armor

Max Health And Armor is pretty straight forward: It gives you max health and armor, even if you don’t have armor. As a plus, if you enter this cheat code while sitting in a wrecked-up car, it will repair that too.

Invincibility

The Invincibility cheat code makes you immune to all kinds of damage, including harm from bullets, blasts, and the like. It goes great with the Raise Wanted Level cheat, especially when you want to take out all your stress after a long day.

Recharge Special Ability

All three playable characters of GTA V have special abilities. Franklin has Driving Focus, which slows down time while driving. Michael has Bullet Time, which slows down time when Michael is shooting. Finally, Trevor has Red Mist, which allows him to inflict more damage while taking fewer hits. All these abilities last for a maximum duration of 30 seconds when maxed out, and there is a cool-down period before you can reuse them. This cheat, however, removes that cool-down period.

3. Spawn Cheats

Spawn Cheats can be used to spawn a range of vehicles – from helicopters to fast cars to even submarines.

GTA 5 Money Cheat

Most people only seek out a Money Cheat Code to get unlimited cash, which can then be used to buy stuff such as weapons and cars around the city. After all, why use individual cheats to unlock items when you can use good old dough? These money hacks and money glitches do, sadly, provide an almost vanilla experience, since they offer minimal artificial interference – except for, of course, the huge amount of money burning a hole in your pocket.

However, there are a few ways to circumvent this and earn money in GTA V – the online and offline edition.

In the offline edition, you can just redo all the heists. Each time you do it, you’ll be credited with a heavy sum. Alternatively, you can also invest in the stock market and buy shares.

In the online edition, with the ever-expanding array of DLC, there are many ways to earn money quickly. The easiest method to buy Shark Cards, using real-world money. If you want to instead earn the money in GTA Online, your best bet is to buy the nightclub and warehouse, which were introduced in the After Hours DLC. These allow you to generate a passive income without doing anything.

In 2016, Import/Export was introduced, where you can smuggle cars and earn big bucks. All you need is to pick up a ‘thing,’ drop the ‘thing’ in a warehouse, and, later, sell the ‘thing.’ The ‘thing’ is an illegal package or stolen car, which could land you in trouble. However, if pulled off smoothly, it can give you big bucks.

So as you can see, despite the lack of money cheats, hacks, and glitches, there are still various other methods for earning tons of cash in GTA V.
