Fishing For Dorado

The Dorado has a difficulty rating of 78 which means it isn’t the hardest fish to catch. However, the real challenge is to find one in the first place. The Dorado can be pretty difficult to come across, and arguably, hooking one into your rod is more complicated than actually catching it.

To have a good chance of catching a Dorado, I recommend that you only try fishing on days where you have a boosted Luck stat. This can be checked by watching the Fortune Teller channel on your Television. If the Fortune Teller states that you’ll have good luck for the day – that’s your first sign of going after the Dorado.

Additionally, try eating some food items such as the Spicy Eel that further boost your Luck stat. With all these factors combined, you’ll have a much better chance of finding the Dorado.

Once you’ve done all this, go to the River Forest area and try to fish in the previously mentioned location. Be sure to use bait and any tackles you prefer to help you with the fishing mini-game.

Repeatedly fish during the spawn times of the Dorado to eventually get a hold of it. Remember, Dorados are a pretty rare catch, so it can take a full day for you to catch 2-3 of them!
